Soldiers of Fortune - Sega Genesis
Your Mission: Destroy the Chaos Engine
"To get to the compound," the voice said. "It's eight muddy miles of beast-infested jungle and God knows how far down. Inside, you and your partner are on your own. All we know is that the Chaos Engine can make anything. Any kind of monster, any kind of trap. Anything. If you come back, though, you'll never have to work again." If. You hitch your pack and begin your last day of work or your last day of life. Another day, another dollar and nothing new for the Soldiers of Fortune.
"You can't solo this one," the voice said. Who to take? The Thug and his sawed-off? Tough guy, but his cover technique isn't the best. The Preacher, maybe. He can learn to use just about any gadget. But he might not have the firepower. It's got to be the Mercenary with that Gatling gun. He just might be crazy enough.
Sixteen levels of blow'em-up action, and six guys to choose from, each with a special set of weapons and skills. And there are many more toys to be found. Any loot, you keep - though you'd be smart to spend some on developing your skills. Because if you're skilled enough, you'll get paid. If.
